 FAQs

    1. I don't have the space to store more than a handful of guitars at a time

    2. I want to make sure every guitar setup is personalized for each client so the client is required to be there for feedback.

Drop Off Appointments are only for:

    1. Service than requires more that 2 hours of labor or multiple days of labor.

    2. Service that requires me to order the parts.

IF you absolutely can't be there for the full service appointment, you still need to schedule the full service appointment so the time is blocked off in my schedule to complete the work. Follow the steps below:

    1. Schedule the full service appointment so I can inspect the guitar and fill out an intake form

    2. Schedule a Same Day Pick Up appointment for that evening OR a Pick Up appointment for another day

      1. Note: You can also leave after the inspection and show up at the end of the schedule service appointment to inspect the work and pay.

    3. Show up to the Pick Up appointment to inspect the work and pay for the service.

  • Nope! Here's your options...

    1. You can run errands and come back at the end of the appointment to pay and pick up the guitar.

    2. Schedule a Same Day Pick Up appointment to pick it up that evening so you can go to work or have fun around Daytona and pick it up on your way home.

    3. Schedule a Pick Up appointment to pick it up another day if labor will take many days or parts need to b ordered.

    Either way:

DO NOT schedule a Drop Off appointment UNLESS labor exceeds 2 hours OR parts need to be ordered. I need you to schedule the full service appointment so I have the time blocked off in my schedule to complete the work.

  • Email erik@sunlandguitars.com to request a custom time! I can be flexible if given enough time.

  • Start off with the base appointment and then ADD ON the extra cost and time for your specific guitar.

Look at the pricing sheet at the bottom and add as much time next to the dollar amount shows for any add ons.

    • A SPEED SETUP on a CLASSICAL GUITAR is going to cost an extra $20 and 30 minutes.

      • The regular speed setup is 30 minutes so add an extra 20 minutes which equals 50 total minutes.

  • Yes!

Start by scheduling the setup first and then ADD ON electronics work to the appointment with the drop-down menu.

  • I am NOT a string retailer. I might have a few packs of generic strings available for emergencies, but I recommend bringing an extra set or two to the appointment. Click

  • We can, BUT we recommend that our clients do the research on their own to make sure you get the product(s) you know you want and know what to expect.

We do not get special discounts so we won't be able to save you money.

If you don't like the parts, you will need to pay for service to swap back to the original or change parts again.

If you aren't sure about something, you are welcome to email me at erik@sunlandguitars.com for questions or recommendations.

  • Electronics troubleshooting is only by 30 minute appointments. If the problem isn't resolved after that, an option to leave the guitar may be offered if there is a clear solution that just needs more time. Schedule a Drop Off if you need complex wiring of pickups and/or pots (anything other than basic wiring and functions like push/pull pots, add-on mods, or full electronics overhauls).

    GIBSON

(or likewise) circuit boards must be completely overhauled with all new electronics components unless you have the correct quick-connect compatible hardware to install.

  • I do not offer finish work at this time and I'm likely to decline work that may risk damaging the finish.
